Defne's Story
Defne is a Grade 10 student at an upper secondary school in Bursa. Last year, she was always anxious before exams. She studied for hours every night, but she couldn't remember anything during the exams. Her heart was beating fast, and her hands were cold.
One day, she talked to the school counsellor, Mr Öztürk. He asked her some questions and understood the problem: Defne was a perfectionist, and she never took breaks. He gave her some advice about time management. Now she studies for 40 minutes and then takes a 10-minute break. She also goes to the badminton club twice a week.
This year, she still gets a little nervous before exams, but her grades are better, and she enjoys school more.
Find two physical signs of Defne's anxiety in the text.
What was the cause of Defne's problem, according to the counsellor? What two changes did she make?
Is Defne completely free of stress now? Explain with evidence from the text.

B. City Science High School: This upper secondary school focuses on science. Students do laboratory work every day and join science competitions. There aren't many sports facilities, but there is a coding club and a chess club. Students go home after lessons at 4 p.m.
C. Riverside Sports High School: Students have two PE lessons every day. The school has a basketball court, a gymnastics hall and a swimming pool. Academic lessons finish at 2 p.m., and sports training starts after lunch.
