Hi, I'm Deniz. I'm in the sixth grade. I always get to school at 8.15. I greet my friends at the gate, and then we enter the classroom together. I am the class leader this term, so I often help my teacher. I collect the homework and give it to her. On Mondays, we have the flag ceremony. I never miss it! After school, I sometimes stay in the library with my friends.

In Ms Erdem's class, every student has a responsibility. Kerem is the class leader. He always listens carefully to the teacher's instructions, and he shares them with the class. Melis and Arda are library volunteers. They help younger students choose books, and they usually work during the lunch break. Sena is the school guide. When guests visit the school, she shows them the labs and the conference hall. She is very helpful and always smiles cheerfully.

Every year, our school has a ceremony for Republic Day. This year, the ceremony is in the school garden, but if it rains, it is in the conference hall. Mr Kılıç, our music teacher, leads the choir. Students from the 6th grade read poems, and the 7th graders perform a folk dance. Our principal gives a short speech after the national anthem. Volunteers from the 8th grade help the guests and show them their seats.
